Shaker Heights Transitional

While the conversation started because of a broken range, the ultimate goal was beauty, open space, and functionality.

  • Soffit Removal

  • Corner closet removal - provides space around the range

  • Removal of peninsula and lengthen the island - improves walk flow through the kitchen and visually widens the space.

  • Angled cabinet at the end of the sink run allows easy access to seating area.

  • Walnut butcher block adds functionality and warmth.

Pepper Pike Traditional

This Pepper Pike family needed a larger open space to entertain guests and wanted a warmer color concept to compliment the adjoining den.  

  • Soffit removed.

  • Dining room wall removed.

  • Partition wall enclosing old hutch removed.

  • Peninsula between kitchen and breakfast nook removed.

  • Pass through window to the den removed and full staircase and entry way added for open feel to the den.

  • Solid cherry wood and marble floors combined with rustic bronze accents.

Cleveland Heights Traditional

A young couple expecting their first child needed functionality and an updated look to match the rest of their traditional home.

  • $25k Budget.

  • Combined neutral wall color with even height cabinet doors to minimize the appearance of soffits that had to remain in order to support the structural integrity of the home.

  • Turned the alcove corner with specialized cabinets in order to improve access and lighting.

  • Altered the position of the gas stove for better access, room in the kitchen, and work space on either side.

  • Added a corner hutch for decoration and added storage.
